SRCDC have worked with the Community Foundation in Wales to secure funding through the Henry Smith Charity:
The project will give one to one support, work placements, group training, peer support and employability training.
An award of £58K a year for 3 years
The beneficiaries for this project will be unemployed women over 25yrs of age, with;
– A BAME background

– Caring or childcare responsibilities

– Lack of formal qualifications and/or employability skills
The geographical area of support will be the Riverside, Grangetown & Canton areas of Cardiff.
Sharon Krause has been appointed project worker full time. The funding will pay for the worker, plus a barriers fund which will give support to the the beneficiaries of the project – such as travel, childcare, training and costs of events.
